Season Update
Our league is incredibly excited to welcome players back onto the ice after such a long time! Understandably, a lot has happened since the outbreak of COVID-19 and it has put tremendous strain on minor sports clubs. The safety of our players and their families is our top priority - it is something we take seriously, and we are following the guidance of Hockey Canada and the GTHL and we are adhering to the new health and safety standards they have set out. We will be following all recommended protocols from the Federal/Provincial Governments, City of Markham and York Region Health.

As you likely know, for the past 35 years the TCHL has started the season the weekend after Thanksgiving. This is what is currently posted on our website.

Unfortunately, the TCHL has to delay the start of the season until October 22nd, 2021.

This is not something we want to do or something that we take lightly - but it is something that needs to be done in order to implement the health and safety protocols required to keep our community safe, and the league running throughout the season. These new health and safety procedures are creating a tremendous amount of additional work, which is being undertaken by an already depleted volunteer base. There is also a delay in getting the player's sweaters and socks.
It has been an incredibly difficult time, and we are doing the best that we can given the circumstances.

Thank you for your understanding, and patience. We are so excited to get back on the ice and to reconnect as a community.

Looking forward to seeing you soon.
